GTA 6 comes out on Thursday, November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That’s the date Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two have committed to after two delays.

Why it was delayed
Rockstar’s statements on both delays said the same thing: the team needed more time to reach the quality players expect. Take-Two’s management has repeated in earnings calls that the November date is the target.
Big Rockstar games slipping is normal. Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed twice too, and launched to record sales.
Could it be delayed again?
No. Rockstar’s official page still lists November 19, 2026, and digital preloads are scheduled for November 12. A delay this close to launch would be unheard of. If anything changes, this page and the countdown on our homepage update the same day.
