Preload: November 12
If you pre-ordered digitally, the download starts a week early. Leave your console in rest mode with automatic downloads on, and it’ll be ready before launch.
Physical copies ship with a download code rather than a disc, according to retailer listings, so plan for a download either way.
How much space you need
Rockstar hasn’t confirmed the final size. A widely shared report based on PlayStation store data points to around 210 GB. Treat that as a minimum and clear extra room for the day-one patch.
PS5 tip: if you’re short on space, an NVMe SSD with a heatsink slots into the PS5’s expansion bay in a few minutes.
